Description

The Women of Africa Range is a sculptural collection celebrating the strength and heritage of Southern African women, depicted in traditional headgear and tribal attire. Many of these cultural outfits are no longer seen, yet through clay artistry they are preserved for posterity. Inspired by the Nguni philosophy “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu”—“I am what I am because of who we all are”– each piece embodies the African belief in community, unity, and the shared bond of humanity.
